Principal Network Engineer

What you'll be doing... You will be part of the OneFiber/ODN team responsible for developing engineering solutions which will positively impact efficiency and acceleration of the critical One Fiber/ODN and iEN programs. This will give you the opportunity to work hand in hand with the CORE and Access engineering teams, Information Technology, and other internal organizations leveraging agile methodologies to accomplish goals quickly. Leading cross functional teams (Engineering, IT, Provisioning) in driving positive results for multiple activities related to the strategic wireline network initiatives. Leading the development and implementation of internal process and standardization initiatives. Leading OSS integration and process improvement, as well as providing subject matter expertise to define OSS strategy. Providing support and direction for the integration of companywide, standard processes. Providing technical solutions to engineering, including process and training documentation. Providing training via different mediums to impacted organizations. Developing network initiatives and leading both small and large projects to improve productivity. Coordinating and leading UAT testing efforts. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience. Even better if you have: Master's degree in Engineering or related field. Five or more years of experience planning and/or designing telecommunications networks. (CAD, IDDS/ICGS, FIM, 3GIS). Ten or more years of experience in Network Engineering, access /transport implementation/network creation, operations or planning. ESRI or equivalent geospatial design environment experience, certifications. Experience with ODN/FTTP design engineering systems and processes. Knowledge of MxU engineering/operations concepts. Experience with mobile application development and implementation. PMP certification. Experience in one or more ISP/OSP Network Engineering disciplines includingIOF, Access, Data. Capability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership of cross functional teams. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Ability to be a technical strategic thought leader as well as an implementer. Ability to work independently. Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives with competing objectives. Desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks as needed. Experience with Engineering Inventory and Provisioning systems. Experience creating process documentation (Methods and Procedures) and process flows. Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or iGrafx. Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL experience a plus). Experience in an Agile Environment with a solid understanding of roles. Experience creating UAT test plans and scripts. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
