SUMMARY Family Service League is seeking a full-time Pre-School Program Director to be responsible for the daily oversight of the Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) program in accordance with the guidelines of the Brentwood Union Free School District, the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and Family Service League.
RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee staff, including hiring, training, developing, conducting supervisions, informal and formal observations, and performance appraisals.
Ensure that all Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Day Care Regulations and policies are adhered to.
Named as the holder for the OCFS license for the facility.
Ensure that all staff are utilizing the districts adopted curriculum and materials as well as all other supplemental materials, lessons, and activities that align with NYS Pre K learning standards.
Work with all staff to develop and maintain positive classroom management techniques.
Work with all staff to ensure daily classroom routines, rules, and expectations.
Ensure that staff are conducting assessments in accordance with the district's guidelines and submitting the assessments to district.
Ensure that teachers are preparing and sending home necessary correspondence to parents/guardians.
Submit all reports and records in a timely fashion to funding sources and agency.
Ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, age appropriate and welcoming manner.
Serve as a role model for all staff and students.
Provide staff with updated, current resources.
Liaison to school district, OCFS, funders, community members, parents, FSL.
colleagues/programs and other service providers.
Assist in the classrooms, as needed.
Ensure that the Program/Department's COA Accreditation Standards are achieved, documented, and incorporated into daily procedures.
Update COA Procedures and documentation, annually, as standards change.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Education or a related field required.
A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience pre K-2 required.
A minimum of 3 years of management experience in a NYS OCFS regulated program required.
NYS Teacher's Certification B-2 or N-6 required.
School Administration and Supervision Certification preferred.
School District Administration Certification preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
